"Transit Realities" is planned for February 2010

All signs indicate that my new album "Transit Realities" is about to be released very soon! There's already a lot of information available on MellowJet.de. There you can find all information regarding the album, as well as an artist's bio page. And you can even check out some clips of the album as well.

"Transit Realities" will be available as CDR through the most well known EM music webshops, such as Groove Unlimited (the album has already been added to their catalog). And off course at MellowJet's own webshop

The album will come in the so called new Amaray case, which will be slightly thinner, and taller than a standard CD jewel case.

A special page about "Transit Realities" will appear at this site soon. In the mean time,  please go and check out the MellowJet pages and enjoy the album preview clips.

No album yet... It should be coming soon!

All best wishes for 2010 to everybody!

And what would be a better start of a new year than starting with the release of my new album "Transit Realities"? Yes, it's already been a few months ago, when I announced the release of 'Transit Realities". However, due to several circumstances, the release has been delayed. The main reason for delaying the album is that it was probably the best not having several important other releases to interfere with the release of my album. Or mine to interfere with the other releases, that were already planned by the record company. Which ever way you would like to see it, of course.

So please, stay tuned, as eventually, the album will be released anyway. I am really proud of the results, and am very excited about it. Currently, MellowJet Records has it's release planned for January 2010, which is, ehm, ... now.

In the mean time, I have been busy with some video editing jobs, of which some have been published on YouTube already, and some will be published soon. More of this will probably be posted here soon as well. And I might also prepare a surprise too. So please, keep an eye on this site for more info.

New album coming soon...

During this year, I have been working on re-discoveries of my work from the early nineties and late eighties. One example is the release of 'Almery', originally recorded in 1989, as well as some tracks on 'Dreaming Angels'. But a lot more recordings are still tucked away in the archives, and the world has never been able to hear them.

Now, work on some of these discoveries has finished and it's ready to form a new album. The album, which will be named 'Transit Realities', is currently being finalized and some work on the artwork still needs to be done.

The album will consist of material recorded originally during 1992 and 1993. However, the material has been remixed completely and polished up nicely. The analogue tapes have been recovered carefully and transferred to a digital source, where all bits and pieces have been put together again, and removed from noise, pops and other distortions. Although everything has been remixed completely down from the original multitracks, great care has been taken to keep the original atmosphere of the compositions as much as possible.

It will be a very dynamic album, consisting of two journeys, traveling through landscapes of reality and virtual reality. It's a fantastic mix of analogue and digital sounds and sequences, with some symphonic touches.

The album will be released on MellowJet Records. It will probably be available on both digital download, and CD-R. Currently, the exact release date is not known yet, but it's estimated to be available in November 2009. Please, check this space for more information, which will follow shortly.

Any news already?

About a week ago, I reported about great news that will be announced soon. But so far, you haven't heard any news at all. Previous message did contain a little hint, though. If you look carefully, you'll be able to read three words that should give you a clue.

I hope to be able to give more details soon. Please stay tuned.

Just to give you some information: It has to do with the work I have been doing lately involving archiving and restorations.

"Dreaming Angels" out now!

The compilation album "Dreaming Angels" is available now on MusicZeit. Please, click on the artwork below to get to the download site directly.

The release of "Dreaming Angels" will be a warm-up for a soon to be released album, which will hopefully be finished soon. More about this new album will follow shortly, of course. But first, let's enjoy "Dreaming Angels".

As you might have read before, "Dreaming Angels" is a compilation of my work that's been recorded between 1989 and 2007. Some tracks on this album, such as 'Bahnhoff Zoo' are not planned to be released on any other future release so far.

I believe "Dreaming Angels" is a nice introduction of my musical personality and experiences. It covers 20 years of my works, and it's just a tip of the iceberg of what's more to come next.

"Dreaming Angels" soon available as download

The compilation album "Dreaming Angels", which was available as a bonus CD for the "Almery" album, if ordered via this site, will soon be available as a digital download on MusicZeit. This means that you can have the album separately. Also, for those, who have already purchased the "Almery" album as a digital download, you will now get the chance to buy the "Dreaming Angels" album as well.

Originally, "Dreaming Angels" came in a 'slim case' CD box with a single folded cover artwork. The download version will contain artwork for a complete jewel case CD box, including detailed track information and rear-tray artwork.

Plans are to release "Dreaming Angels" as a CD(R) version as well, to go in jewel case CD box for above mentioned artwork.

Please click on the artwork displayed below for more details. Track samples and ordering information will be added soon.

Another TDFZ show with music from Rene Splinter

This coming Saturday 21st of February 2009 will feature another track by me. Up to now, I have no idea which track will be aired. It might be an Almery track, or even something from the Dreaming Angels album.

The show will also feature music by Frank van Bogaert and Neurinium*. As usual, the Tangerine Fans Zone Radio show is hosted by Chris Newman.

Please note that the location of the TDFZ podcasts has changed. From now on, you can find the shows at soundfuturesdirect.com/blog

* For what I have understood, the Neuronium (Michel Huygen) tracks were supposed to be accompanied with an interview. Unfortunately, the interview was postponed.
